Welcome to Nantwich Market.co.uk
Serving the local community and surrounding areas since 1867.

Beautiful spring blossom - St Mary's church.
This is the new and exciting website dedicated to Nantwich Market, the traders and our customers.
Nantwich Market is lucky as it continues to be well supported by both traders and customers alike. Our market is self-sustaining in that it generates enough profit and does not require financial assistance via taxes. In a world that is fiscally challenged and facing tough times, it is unique and refreshing that Nantwich Market is still flourishing. A testament to great customer service and a well run market.
However, times are changing. Cheshire East Council are looking to transfer management of some local amenities such as the market, civic hall, public toilets, allotments and the Gables in a bid to save money. All but the market will require financial support!
Nantwich Town Council are currently in discussion with Cheshire East Council about taking on-board these amenities. To-date they have accepted the proposal "in principal." It goes without saying that to lose any one of these amenities would be a significant loss to the town! We dearly hope that Nantwich Town Council will support our fabulous market for the benefit of the local community and trades alike should it take on the role of managing the facility. Time will tell.
As a local amenity we would urge the Nantwich community to ensure our local facilities remain. We can all help by utilise such facilities whenever possible and voicing our support. The answer is simple - use it, or lose it. As a designated market town, where would we be without our market and small local independent traders?
Supermarkets, the internet and the large cheap-jack-stores suck the lifeblood out of the heart of a town and leave it like a skeleton of its former-self. You know the in-town stores - they're evident in each town throughout the country! Each and every one of us are responsible for the future of our local independent traders and towns, and if they ceases to exist in any form of individuality, then we are all to blame. Support your local traders and maintain the character of your environment - please use them.
How lucky are we to have such a beautiful town as Nantwich. Lets keep it like that for one and all.
In the meantime if you have any comments about this site, such as information you would like to see on here, then please email us at nantwichmarket@gmail.com.

Nantwich Market - Everyday is value day.
Here you will find links to information about some of the traders at the market. We can't have a 'shop' facility on this site as we are too varied, but we can give you details about some of the various products, produce, gifts and services etc on offer in the market hall and outdoor market.
Some categories are awaiting information and will be updated as we get it. Thank you.
